The colour of love? But red of course!
Here is the cake that will make your Valentine's Day even more enjoyable.
Soft and fluffy, it is made with only egg whites and decorated with a generous dose of fig molasses.
Ingredients:
- 3 egg whites
- 100 g sugar
- 150 g flour
- 50 g vegetable cream
- 1 pinch of red food colouring
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
Decoration: fig molasses
Method:
1. Beat the egg whites until stiff by adding the sugar in three stages.
2. Add the flour and sifted baking powder, in several steps, with a spatula with movements from the top downwards.
3. Whip the cream and the colouring agent and add to the rest of the mixture.
4. Bake at 170° in a ventilated oven for 25/30 minutes.
5. Remove from the oven and decorate with Fig Molasses.
